What is a Bond?
A bond is an IOU issued by a corporation, government, or governmental agency to cover money the bondholder has lent. If you own stock in a company, you are a part owner of the company. As a bondholder, you are a creditor.
Who Issues Bonds?
Corporations issue bonds, governments and governmental agencies also issue bonds as a way to borrow large sums of money in hopes to raise money for expansion, acquisitions, or other uses. U.S. Treasury Bonds are thought to be the most secure investments in the world because the U.S. Government backs them with its “full faith and credit.” for what that is worth.
Conclusion
The US is printing dollars on a massive scale, and in view of that trend, according to the laws of economics, there is no doubt that the Dollar will fall which will tear down the bond structure as bonds are nothing more than IOU's. If what your are paid is is worthless IOU what do you really have at the end of the day? The answer to this is nothing.
